ABOUT
Late Nights // Early Mornings is a three piece acoustic girl band from Norwich (Hollie on violin, Gem on guitar and Jess on vocals)
We have been together since May 2016 but already have over 40 minutes of original songs written and more on the way. We are very excited as our first EP that has been released called 'Love is Love'.
We have been getting quite a bit of attention recently from local promoters and fellow artists - for example, we are being promoted by The Tilting Sky who headhunted us on Facebook to support Mount Hood at The Waterfront and we also have been shortlisted to audition for the Soundwaves O2 competition for new songwriters to perform at an O2 arena.
We write upbeat songs about relationships, equality and other relatable themes to really get our audience involved.
The songs we write are written with meanings behind them which are important to us and what we feel strongly about but we do like to have fun with it too.
MEET THE BAND
J.E.S.S - Vocals
'My mum says I could sing before I could talk and I've been making a ruckus ever since! I love making music and over the years I've sung in local rock and metal bands in Norfolk but I've never been in an acoustic band like Late Nights // Early Mornings.
It's really creatively exciting and humbling to write our own music and I particularly enjoy writing lyrics for new songs. I have grade 5 in piano and grade 6 in music theatre but I'm mega excited about learning the hammered dulcimer next year (!)
Hopefully I can bring something new to the band with it.
Oh and when I'm not making music, you can find me doting on my cats, rabbits and my gorgeous girlfriend, Aimee.'
G.E.M - Guitar
'I'm a lover of all things pop punk - my main influences being Blink 182 , Greenday , Neck Deep and State Champs.

My first guitar case was a bin bag!
When im not strumming my strings in Late Nights // Early Mornings, I'm mostly trying to be Romeo to my girlfriend Aimee. (Not Jess's Girlfriend).
My favourite song off our EP is 'Infinity' because it reminds me of my relationship with Aimee as we share a love for Toy Story; To Infinity And Beyond - Buzz Lightyear.

H.O.L.L.Y - Violin
'I play violin in the band. When I'm not staring at my David Bowie post on my bedroom wall, I am probably cooking pasta and pesto sauce which is my absolute favourite food.
I have been playing the violin for 13 years and I love alternative rock music. Late Nights // Early Mornings was a different venture for me in terms of the style of music I am usually used to but this has given me an outlet for my skill of playing the violin again which I predominantly played as a child/teenager.
It has enabled me to brush up on my technique and play with new sounds which I really enjoy.
My favourite song on our EP is The Message. We wrote it all together and this song was where I felt we were really starting to come together as a band. I love songs that portray depth of feeling.'
